Arunima Sinha, a former national level volleyball player, who had lost her right leg after thrown off a moving train by some hoodlums, created history on Tuesday by becoming the first Indian amputee to conquer Mount Everest. The 25-year-oldArunima reached the summit of the highest peak in the world at 10.55 am, as a member of the Eco Everest Expedition from the Tata Group, an official of the Tourism Ministry of Nepal said.

  1. another inspirational mountaineering achievement this year on 19 May, 21 yrs old twin sisters Nungshi & Tashi malik became 1st twin sisters in the world to scale Everest! Now they have also climbed Europe’s and Africa’s tallest peaks in their quest to scale tallest peaks in all 7 continents!!
