Bangladesh is a secular country with Islam listed as it’s state religion. Please correct the listing. The constitution of Bangladesh has been changed in the recent years and reverted back to it’s original (1972) form that states secularism as one of the four tenets of the state.
The fifth amendment drafted during 1977 that stated Bangladesh as an Islamic country is considered illegal by the supreme court, and so that has been corrected and so, Bangladesh remains as a secular state. However, the state religion is Islam with majority Muslims (88%). Nonetheless, Bangladesh is a secular state.
