This is not a moral policing article π however may give you an unbiased perspective about dress codes in a simple way.
One can wear any dress as they prefer. However, every individual should understand the term social etiquette according to the civilization where they are and would be wise to act accordingly.
When I was a kid, I saw an old man who got into a bus wearing only a Langoti, he was a village man. Everyone yelled him and the conductor pushed that poor man literally out of the bus. I felt so sad and bad about the people’s behaviour.
I wonder how this trendy world would react if they see such a man or a man with no shirt on a city road, now? This is the social etiquette I am trying to convey. As a society, we expect something from individuals, and they are expected to follow it.
And feminism!! that is just a hyped term. Women who want to be free are still free and they achieve whatever they want and wear whatever they wish, without any hurdle. Only those who want the society to accept their way of thinking always speak, “feminism!, feminism!”
Freedom is taken not given. Take your freedom, but realize the fact that every freedom has a limit, which is something the individual need to decide in accordance with the civilization where he/she lives. Adjust to your society or be bold enough to face criticism and stand out confidently! Nothing is wrong or right, only it is a matter of acceptance of the majority.
