The Bench is the first story of Blank Space. A story which conveys us the message that inspiration is not about winning or conquering our desires. But inspiration is all about contentment in life.
It is all about facing the truths of life without sadness, but remembering the memories on a positive note. Bala has given life to a Bench and it’s lifetime journey with a lovely couple.
Preethi Venugopala :‘The Bench’ was the story that I liked most in Blank Space. The lyrical descriptions, the depth of the emotions that are conveyed through the few paragraphs, the characters…everything was memorable.
Saurabh Mishra : Read it long back and somehow I felt that my story was coherent with it but just set in another spacetime(metaphorically). I loved the diction. it’s beautiful
Ruchi Chopra : The Bench- evokes strong emotions, celebrate passion of 2 souls….imagery is wonderful & vivid…diction is beautiful…I enjoyed reading it. Bala, best of luck!
Shail Raghuvanshi : Bala’s story explores the charm of sentiment and of nostalgia. It, so beautifully takes you back into time and draws you into the old world charm and beauty of love that is ever eternal, even after death. Thank you Bala.
Namita Sunder : Soft, silken, soothing ‘the bench’ is like a fragrance you inhale and let it float slowly inside your being. Thanks Bala reading your story was a beautiful enriching experience.

It was just a dream… “A book of 100 inspirational stories penned by 100 people.” Many thought just another start but doubted the possibility for making it real. But now it is REAL. 🙂
We had nothing but silence as an answer. Now the journey of Propel Steps begins with the first step of the big journey ahead aiming to bring realistic social changes by enabling the youth via education irrespective of their economic and rural/urban differences.
A concrete and powerful kickstart, this would not have happened without you all 100 Incredible People who support us with patience and perseverance always. Especially some very special people who gave way for a few others, with so much understanding and smiles.
The list is so long if we mention all by name, we are concerned not to miss someone, hence we kept the list short. We have stories to share about everyone who helped us to make the book better. We will share those beautiful moments when we introduce the Authors.
Soon we will come up with 3 projects simultaneously following the release of Blank Space. (tentatively in the first two weeks of Jan 2015)
We need you support for making this project successful. Pre-orders beginning soon… 🙂
Ruchi is an Akshaya Patra of smiles and positive energy 🙂 Right from the very first interaction via blogs, she has given us a lot of cheers and thumbs up than anyone else. The special thing about her is she just not keep the positive attitude with her but also spreads it to you. I wonder how she manages to share time to all sincerely, be it a little kind act of sharing her encouraging comments for blog posts, or any discussions, she rarely missed to give a pat on shoulders. If you knew her already, you must be synonymous about her.
Her Story for Blank Space: ‘Heart of Stone’ is a ‘close to heart’ story that she wrote for her daughters to make them understand the values of persistence & patience in life. She has given life to a stone in this story and let us live alongside with it. Most of us will get tired or feel given up hope at times, but she instills us to have a heart of the stone to come out successful.
Her Profile: She is a homemaker by choice and freelance writer by passion, based in Cleveland, Ohio. She did her Post-Graduate Diploma in Mass Communications with a specialization in E-journalism. She has previously worked for Broadcasting Media Organization, Sahara Samay National, in India, for 3 years including her brief pursuit as a Freelance Journo for Regional monthly Hindi Magazine, India Inside, in India.
She has written the Title story for her first published Anthology “ HER STORY: Is Not Always a Story”. She has recently scripted for one social corporate documentary for a plywood company. She contributes articles & editorials to various social networking websites, newspapers, and magazines. The passionate lover of Mother Nature and Photography expressed that writing gives her a creative space to express herself and extended her gratitude to her lovely family, friends & mentors for their leap of faith in her capabilities.
“Blogging is not just to express ourselves or to share some information, it also brings in some wonderful humans into our life. Namita Ma’am is such a wise person, whom I got to know via blogging. On a good day, we were introduced via a comment, gradually she become a well-wisher, whom I regard as a mentor.
She was one of the early supporters of Blank Space initiative. All she considered was “why we aim to publish such a book!” She believed in the purpose behind Blank Space to instill positivity in the minds of youth, which can make our society a better place.
For Alice like us, in the wonderland of publishing, it is the trust from a few people like her, which helps us to keep going.”
“Morning Puppies” is like a ray of hope of kindness in this fast moving world. The sunlight can’t be stopped by the hindering clouds, so as the little kids, we can’t stop them from being kind. This misty dawn story will surely touch your heart as soft as a puppy’s fur.”
Namita Sunder had worked with a nationalized bank for more than 20 years. After taking VRS from the bank, she keeps herself engaged in writing, reading and giving free tuition to needy kids. She writes both in Hindi and English.
